I think the devil is in the details in the OP's statement that they have been towed only once in the last 2 years and the assertion by Good Sam that they have had 6 usages in the last 12 months. Both could be true. Maybe the other 5 usages by the OP were lockout calls, calls for being out of fuel, call to change a tire, call for a jump start or any other call that did not result in a tow. If indeed, the OP used the services 6 times in the last 12 months, I have to agree with the decision to drop them. They are either very unlucky, or they use "Emergency Roadside Assistance" more as a personal valet than an emergency service. Either way, it is probably a smart decision for the company to sever ties as they apparently are able to do under the terms of their service agreement.Naio wrote:
So now they are saying you used it 6 times, not 2, and not 1? And making snide comments about 'unlimited usage'? Dang.
So, the OP says he has used ERS ONE time in two years. ERS says that he has used their service SIX times in the past "rolling" 12 months. I am curious as to why the OP did not question this, or was the service used more than once, just not in the past "rolling" 12 months, whatever that means!
As for the assertion that the rep was unprofessional during a telephone call, I want to point out that when people are not getting what they want they very often feel the person they are dealing with is being rude. Being the bearer of bad news is one tough job.
