Thanks everyone for posting. I wanted to clarify our motor club names and use of GPS coordinates at dispatch. First, motor clubs. Good Sam Roadside Assistance is a part of Good Sam Enterprises, and is fully owned and operated as such. Our motor clubs are entities that keep us compliant with all of the individual state licensing and compliance regulations that each state may have for operation of a motor club. Both Affinity and Americas are wholly owned subsidiaries of Good Sam Enterpises as well. some states require an LLC, while other require incorporation.
Second, use of GPS coordinates at dispatch - Our phone switch receives GPS coordinates from most smart phones (where the member has enabled the GPS feature) that allows us to pinpoint an exact location of the member within as little as 300 feet, to as much as a mile or two, again depending on the cellular phone and carrier. Additionally, our dispatchers can accept the actual coordinates in Lat and Long if you provide it at time of need.
Hope that helps clarify, and thanks again.
