Marcus Rapid Response Team - MARKW8ExplorerI have my renewal in front of me. It is for Platinum Plus. They will tow more than 100 if that's what it takes to get to a service center. They will only go 100 miles to your personal choice of destination. where ever that may be.
If you are 125 miles from home and want to go there, the last 25 miles is on you.
Mark - TinyoneRVExplorerCampfire Guy,
I think we're both correct. The Platinum + doesn't show up as an offering; however, you can find the brochure at this site. I was a little hard to find.
http://webcontent.goodsam.com/goodsamroadside.com/mbbs/good_sam_roadside_assistance_platinum_plus_member_brochure.pdf - BoidsterExplorerNo dog in this fight (yet - I'm a new member with the cheap intro rate), but being interested in what's going to happen to me when my renewal comes up, I poked around the GSRA site a bit.
This page shows brochures for plans, including (apparently) Platinum+ (the non-auto version) : https://www.goodsamroadside.com/mbbs/
I was unable to get any of the "print friendly" links to actually produce a print-friendly version. It seems to just dump unformatted text into the page. I tried using Firefox 41.0.2 as well as IE 11. Nevertheless there is a Platinum+ brochure listed and if you can wade through the wall-of-text, the details are here: https://www.goodsamroadside.com/brochure/index.cfm?id=3080449
For what it's worth, the towing section of that brochure reads:When a Member, Associate, or Extended Family Member calls for service, Good Sam Platinum+ Roadside Assistance pays 100% of the towing fees for the delivery of the vehicle to the nearest professional service center capable and willing to repair the vehicle OR we’ll pay for the towing fees for the delivery of your vehicle to any other destination of choice within 100 miles of the disablement location.
If you go to the "Find a Plan" menu item, this is all that you see:
"Platinum+" is not listed as an option, and it isn't referenced under the "Platinum" page, that I can see (https://www.goodsamroadside.com/findaplan/platinum.cfm).
As a newcomer, it would appear to me that this "Platinum+" plan is something they used to offer, and perhaps is still renewable if you have it currently, but which is not available any longer.
If that is not the case, GRSA really needs to fix their website. And rethink what "print-friendly" means. I'd be happy to arrange a consulting agreement to show them about PDF files and how to embed them into web pages. - Campfire_TimeExplorer

Campfire Guy,
A GS representative has offered his assistance, but your are correct when you say he does not accept private messages. However, when I look at the Roadside Assistance offerings, the Platinum + with up to 100 miles of towing to a location of your choice is clearly presented. If I wanted the coverage I'd at least take up the offer to chat (when he allows receipt of your message.
Please show me the link. Their site is messed up, they show brochures but don't actually offer RV Platimum+ anymore on the signup page. As I said got a PM some time ago from another GSRA rep that specifically addressed that and confirmed what I thought. Now someone is trying to tell me something different? This is why I quit AAA, they were just as disorganized and no two people could tell me the same thing, which ended up costing me $500.RoadsideGuy wrote:
Apologies Campfire Time - I located an incorrect setting in my account on this forum. Feel free to contact me now if you wish - my offer stands.
Thanks again
See my answer above. I'm being told 2 different things by GSRA reps. Any reason you can't share this publicly? I'm just looking for straight answers. You either do or don't offer RV Platinum+, and if you do, why isn't on the web site any longer?
Look, bottom line is that when my renewal comes due next August and I'm offered the same thing for a reasonable price increase, I'll renew. If the price increase is too high or I'm not offered the same package, I simply won't renew. Nothing to negotiate. That's all I have to say on this now.
EDIT: I just wanted to say that I appreciate that you want to help me out. So don't think I'm simply blowing you off. It's just that I'm starting to see the same kinds of answers and disconnects I saw with another road club and I don't wish to get aggravated over it. - RoadsideGuyExplorerApologies Campfire Time - I located an incorrect setting in my account on this forum. Feel free to contact me now if you wish - my offer stands.

Thank you Campfire Time for your reply. I wanted to clarify a couple of items - we have not dropped Platinum+ coverage as you suggest, and the price for renewal you mentioned is not the current price for Platinum coverage. I would like to ensure your membership level is correct - in order to do so, could you please send me a private message via the forum with your membership information?
Thanks in advance for your help with this.

When I try to send you a message I get "The recipient does not allow private messages". Look, I really don't feel like going back and forth with this. The bottom line is that GSRA no longer offers the program I paid for nor will allow me to renew (I asked and was PMed this answer from the "GS Roadside Assistance Program Manager"), which included up to 100 miles of towing to my choosing. It may have been RV Platinum+, don't know, the naming convention is confusing and my member card only says "Platinum+". - craig7hNomad IIWell I am going to jump into this knowing I do not belong. Cajunco heres your chance to help out the whole operation. Step up to the plate and have coffee with them. Who knows you may even find there not to bad.
I will be interested to find out what happened at coffee, Cajunco make sure you post about your coffee. - RoadsideGuyExplorerHello Cajunco - I appreciate your comments, but respectfully disagree. We have over 2 million successful roadside rescues to our credit, and more than 100 RV dispatchers that work hard every day to help resolve the most difficult situations you can imagine. While we are not perfect, we work hard every day on behalf of our members.
Being a fellow Denver resident, I would welcome a visit to our office to sit down and discuss in person - or at a local coffee shop. I'll buy the coffee. If you are interested, please send me a private message via the forum.
Thanks for listening.
