When I bought my last new car the dealership wanted me to get a tire and rim extended warranty. I passed, especially after I priced a new tire / rim combination and found out it was appreciably cheaper to buy a replacement than have the coverage. Never squared a rim or blew a tire in 30 odd years anyway. I don't look for pot holes and road hazards anyway.
