Good Sam Travel Assist

For sometime now I have been concerned for what my lovely bride would do if I became disabled, or heaven forbid, passed away while on the road. I've considered emergency services for this situation but do not feel comfortable shelling out thousands of dollars to a company with no real guarantee that they will still be in business if I need them. I have been receiving solicitations from Good Sam Travel Assist and I like a couple things about it. First, it's on a month-to-month basis, and second I feel pretty confident that Good Sam is going to be around in the future. I would like to hear feedback, good or bad, if you have had any experience with the Good Sam Travel Assist service. Thank You.

Look like it's on an annual basis.

  • Thanks to all who responded, this pretty well confirms my feelings. I plan to subscribe immediately. Seems to be pretty cheap "peace-of-mind insurance". Thanks again to all my RV'ing friends.
  • I'm planning on signing up very soon as this past June/July I had congestive heart failure coming out of Canada and ended up in Billings, MT for a 5 day "vacation" in the hospital. Had to fly our son-in-law and my DW's daughter out to drive our rig back to NC. We flew to Asheville. With the return service insurance, we can now go to Newfoundland next summer with a pretty clear concience. JMHO
  • No feedback yet, but I recently signed up for it. I'd hate to be 1000 miles from home if something happened to me. Last year, I had a heart problem on the road and wound up in a hospital in Salt Lake. Fortunately, they were able to get me fixed up in just a few hours. I don't know what I'd have done if it was worse. She's just too nervous to drive the rig.

    X2,
Knowing that Good Sam can send a professional driver to get my RV rig home in the event of medical problem to me is very reassuring to both me and my wife.
