I had Good Sam Roadside Assistance (GSRA) for a while. On two occasions I had tire blowouts (will never again buy Michelin Tires) on the Interstate and called Good Sam Roadside Assistance. The first time I used them, near Texarkana AR/TX, they said who would be coming to fix my tire and gave me a phone number. I waited what I thought was a reasonable amount of time and then called the company. They said that they no longer had a contract with GSRA. Finally someone came to fix the tire, but it sure took a long time.
The second time that I used GSRA I was on I-19 in Houston, TX. Again it took a very long time for someone to arrive because the company that GSRA had a contract with was a very long way from where I was in Houston.
I gave up on GSRA and have switched to Progressive, who I have my RV insurance with (through USAA). Has anyone had similar incompetent assistance from GSRA?
