GS Jamboree's
What happen to the GS Jamborees? The so called jamborees seem like RV shows now.

In my state (Ohio) we have three Samborees every year. Samboree as in Good Sam. :B A few years ago Good Sam told us we should stop using the Samboree name and call them rallies, it didn't fly, we like the Samboree name.
The national Good Sam has had one to three rallies each year for some time. They have cut way back recently due to not making enough money from them (in my opinion). Since Good Sam Enterprises is a for profit company it makes sense that they should want to make as much money as possible as is the legal duty to its stockholders.
The state organizations on the other hand, are typically nonprofit and everything is geared toward providing a service to the members, thus the Samborees are about fun and comraderie. Come to Ohio, you will enjoy our Samborees and with no sales pitches.
