We have had very good luck with Good Sams Roadside Service: three separate times while we were towing and once in our regular car. The last time was this April coming home from Florida, our old truck broke down just north of Fort Wayne. After a couple of calls, GS was able to find us a tow truck that could handle our duley and FW. Unfortunately, the tow driver was driving an old tow truck with gears grinding and holes in the floor. He was given the wrong address by GS but finally got us to the correct place. (30 miles away)
That being said, the problem with the tow vehicle was finally fixed (the same day) and we made it home safely the same day.
I don't think we would have been able to find a tow truck on our own, found a business that would be willing to look at our truck the same day and be able to accommodate our big truck and our FW.
BTW: Big thank you to Good Sams Roadside Assistance and to Rosencrants Truck Repair in Columbia City for fixing our truck (they were awesome) and getting us on the road again!!
