The main slide motor/gear box failed with slide extended. Can't move motorhome. Mobile tech charged $75 service call which is typical. Good Sam does not pay for motorhome service calls but does pay for service calls involving 5th wheels and trailers. Do you think this is fair when the rig can't be moved? I don’t! Thanks.Jack H

I don't think that's true. GS will pay for the service call, just not the labor or parts (if required). I recently had a serpentine belt break, and since it was Sunday, GS not only paid for the tow truck and towing me about 15 miles to an RV park, but also paid for the service call of the technician to come out the next day to replace the belt. I had to pay for his labor and for the new belt.Ron

I think the responses you see are for GS Roadside Service and not the Extended Service that the OP is talking about.GS Roadside service will cover the service call but not the parts.I don't know about their service plan, but I have a different extended warranty and they are the same. They will not pay for the service call but will pay for the parts and labor minus the deductible and shipping charges.

I HAVE TWICE IN THE LAST WEEK HAD PROBLEMS AND RECIEVED NO HELP FROM CAMPING WORLD OR THE EXTENDED SERVICE I PAID FOR AND THINK IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND EFFORT I WILL NEVER RECOMEND OR SEND ANYONE TO CAMPING WORLD FOR ANYTHING

I have a friend who had a surge tank leak on the diesel pusher. After calling G.S. Road service they dispatched a tech aprox 40 miles.
When he arrived he removed the surge tank cap, stuck his finger in and said it appears to be OK to drive the service faculty and would follow to be sure there were no problems. Friend is being billed $100++ for a one way trip. If only coolant was added (not needed) apparently the service trip would have been covered. But as SERVICE was required, and no coolant was added, JUST A FINGER DIP, there was a bill.
I called GOODSAM As I also have there road service and they confirmed such a trip was CHARGEABLE. After calling my former road service company and detailing what had occurred, they confirmed it would be covered.
We both have previously had Coach Net and were very satisfied.

Any comments or experience with G.S. Road service?

Dear Jack,

It is true that Good Sam ESP will not cover the service call for motor homes, only the cost of the repairs. Good Sam Roadside Assistance will cover the service call but not the repair cost. We try not to duplicate coverage between ESP and RA since most of our customers have both products.

If you send me your service call bill, I will take care of it since I told you in the earlier post that I would handle it.

Did you call GSESP before calling the mobile tech? Does your contract say they won't pay mobile tech?

I "assumed" he was referring to the ERS.... my bad. Sorry.

I don't know about their service plan, but I have a different extended warranty and they are the same. They will not pay for the service call but will pay for the parts and labor minus the deductible and shipping charges.
