GSRA Renewal

Yesterday I phoned Good Sam to renew our roadside assistance. I was informed of a special offer that would allowed me to renew for 3 years at a one time charge which was a savings over the 3 years. I informed your representitive that I did not wish to take this opertunity at this time and perferred to renew for 1 year. Your representitve actually laughed at me. The way I chose to spend my money is my business and I do not appreciate your representatives demeaning response.

I renewed my ERS platinum by mail. I got an e-mail that it was gonna expire. Called them up and they had not posted or received my payment yet so I payed again on the phone with a Visa card just to make sure. After being charged twice, I informed them and they said they would apply it to another year. I said no thanks, send me my refund. Still waiting, been about a month now.

Thanks for the call Zack, When I first called GSERS I was informed that it would take 4-6 weeks for my refund and asked why couldn't they just credit it back to my debit account? I was told because the order the payments came in, the first a check in the mail, and the second, phone by debit I would have to cancel both to do that. I guess an accounting system issue. Just trying to keep it simple. I'll just send my renewal a little earlier from now on. I do appreciate the Good Sam folks monitoring the board and responding as they do. I've been a member since I started RV'ing and hope to be for many years to come. My checks in the mail.

  • Thank you Mark for your response. I am very impressed that you would take the time to speak with me to resolve the issue.. Good people like you are the reason we are and will continue to be Good Sam members.
  • I had a problem when I had a flat on my toyhauler and the agent said they did not service toyhaulers. You can imagine how I felt.

I asked to speak to a manager, which did take over 25 minutes, and the first thing the manager said was, "YOU ARE COVERED, SORRY ABOUT THE MISTAKE, NEW AGENT."

They got there in about 45 minutes after the call, only cost us 2 hours in our trip (the service tech needed a taller jack, but we backed up the good tire on some blocks and completed the work).

The main reason I have Good Sams is because they can handle the toyhauler and truck. AAA would not guarentee they would handle 3/4 diesel.

Other than the 25 minute phone wait for a manager I do not have a huge issue with them. As it stands right now, I would renew.
  • TheSchicks,

Thank you for your time and post. I would like to apologize for the lack of professionalism from the agent. If able could you send me a PM with your contact information.
