I have had to call Good Sam several different times over the years. The longest time was when My son's car quit on him on I85 at an exit that closest towns were 30+ miles away and large towns were over 100. It was Sunday afternoon and raining and it took about 2 hours for tow to get there. customer assistance had to find a place to take car and a tow truck. Truck had to come 40 miles to get to dead car. Lady was very apologetic that it took so long, but it worked out, because then son didn't have to wait on corner for me to get there to pick him up.
He had a flat tire on same car and couldn't get lugs to break loose, so called for assistance and truck was there in less than 30 minutes and he was about 15 miles outside of town where we live.
I will pay the GSRA costs (platinum level) and know it is GSRA's job to find someone. I don't have to spend hours trying to find someone. I can let them deal with it.. I also have used the technical assistance to help trouble shoot an electrical issue on a holiday weekend.
