I signed up against the advice of a friend because of the merchandise coupon offer figuring "what have I got to lose". Pay $50 to join and get $25 in stuff plus the fuel discount and I am rocking.I go online to order, put the coupon code in, no luck. Go to chat and I am told I have to use it in person or submit by mail so I go to amazon, pay the same, and get my free shipping. This is 2017...who rebates by mail??? Now I have a piece of paper that will expire in 2018 unless I trip over a Camping World location in my travels (which I have never seen one). The good part is that I was going to spring for the roadside assistance but this lesson may have saved me the $80 price tag for another lesson

Organizations that rebate by mail are betting that people will signup and then forget to send in the rebate coupon. Organizations that like their customers will do instant rebates, or otherwise make it simple or automatic.

Yeah, wait until you see that fuel discount! Pilot has diesel at $2.99/gallon - get .08 off for being a club member, and it only costs you $2.91/gallon.

Then drive across the street to the Shell station where it's $2.69/gallon.

Yeah, sign me up for that deal.

First note that I am no big fan of Good Sam, Camping World or how I've been treated on here.....BUT......

Tell us please, Jim, just exactly where you have seen that in the last 60 days or so.

I've driven all over the south east in the past 6 months and have NEVER seen a significant price difference among nearby stations.

Disclaimer: I don't look at diesel prices so my comment applies to gas prices.

I DID see that the past two years but it seems to have disappeared recently, at least mostly.

When you do see that, nobody forces you to stop at that particular station.......discount or no.

Amazing! Complainers have been complaining for years, at least 10 l know of. So much HATE. They will ha v e on their gravestone, I HATE CAMPING WORLD. SO SAD.
