I am on the DO NOT CALL list.. but as stated here, it is not enforced, and companies know that.
Many calls that pretend to be SURVEYS ... are REALLY seeing just how many people actually WILL take the call, and be polite ...THIS IS THE WORST THING ANYONE CAN DO !
In reality, what they ARE doing is selling your name to other telemarketers as " RECEPTIVE" to phone calls . This is a totally different list that plain Cold Calling, and many firms pay premium prices for this list.
It means you WON'T scream and hang up, which GUARANTEES you to get more phone calls than most people.
I say Good Sam is violating our rights by giving / selling our personal info to TRAVEL RESORTS or any other 3rd party , and only by calling them and DEMANDING this policy be changed ....will it cease !
