To the OP I have good sam also and two years ago a guy dropped a 8ft aluminum I beam on the 405 freeway right in front of my wife and it took out both right side tires and rims and front end damage. They said they can tow me to the nearest repair facility. I asked if I paid the difference can they tow me home which was 55 miles away. They said yes but I had to pay the difference which was 160.00 to get it home where I could get it to my preferred dealer for repairs. So I think he did get a bum rap because they will tow farther for a fee.
