Lets Play "Where Am I" First time using GSRSA
I call you and tell you I'm on the side of the road, I tell you that I just left Needles Ca. have traveled approx 11 miles EAST on I40 towards Exit 9 I40 which is approx 11 more miles away in Az.
Where Am I ?
Why the hell couldn't GSRSA figure it out ?
We are on our cross country road trip. Spent the first night in Needles Ca. Coming into town saw the local Chevron and the no brand name gas stations at $4.69+ for reg unleaded. Headed over to a GS CG while checking in told the guy about the gas prices , he said to drive the 15 miles down the road into AZ ,gas is $1+ cheaper a Gal. Looked at my fuel gauge and it was couple lines before the red. Thought plenty of fuel left had run it alot lower than that before.
Ok next morning we leave Needles heading East on I-40 headed to exit 9 to Lake Havasu , once out on the road I see a sign exit 9 22 miles ahead.
Still thinking no problem plenty of fuel, here comes a few small hills , oh******chug chug eng shuts off. Coast off the side of the road. Try to restart,,, nope. Get out my handy dandy GSRSA card ,call the # give all my info to the gal, told her exactly where we were. "We left Needles East bound on I40 headed to exit 9 we are approx. 11 miles East of Needles. She repeats it back to me and then told me to hold while she calls a RS provider in our area , comes back on the line and tells me it will be 55 minutes , I said ok and we waited ,then 50 minutes later I get a call from the RS provider Steve's Towing dispatcher out of Lake Havasu asking where I was because their driver has been looking for us along the road 11 miles EAST of exit 9. I told her what I told the GSRSA , she then told me they were told I was 11 miles East of exit 9 and that she would get the guy turned around and headed our way.
Mean while its now close to 100 degrees outside and close to that inside the MH.
TWO hours later we are finally back on the road after getting 5 gallons of gas from the tow truck driver Dave.
My bad for hitting the road that low on fuel Never again.
GSRSA needs to be better than that !!!!!!!!!!!!!
