LPG discount ending @ Camping World?

My solution to all of this is just to use a good cash rebate credit card. That way I can shop anywhere I want and get my own discount that I am in control of. Even if it is a basic 1% cash rebate card, perhaps the discount isn't quite as high as the Flying J / Pilot fuel card discount but the difference, in my opinion, doesn't seem like enough to really worry about.

Just because another club benefit is offered why is it necessary to take away one.

Yes, that is correct. We did have the $29 as a special rate through December 31st and we decided to continue that at a rate of $39 for an unlimited amount of time. There are lots of benefits that would still be available to you even if you couldn't use the $39 install special for any reason, so I would take a look at the benefits section of www.goodsamclub.com after you log in to view some of those. If you need anything else at all, just let us know.

We also never knew about the LPG discount until recently reading about it on one of the forums. Had we known, we would have taken advantage of it. We were at a Camping World in our home state and had a stabalizer installed - we needed propane and because we didn't know, we drove out of there, continued on our way and stopped somewhere else 20 miles down the road for our propane. Never saw a sign about it -- didn't even know they had propane!

At our chapter meeting last week I announced the demise of the LPG discount at Camping World. We had 32 people in attendance and not a single one knew about the LPG deal.

I only found out about it recently and hadn't had the opportunity to announce it to the chapter nor did I have the opportunity to take advantage of it myself.

I would imagine in reality the $1.99 LPG went away because of the recent spikes in LPG prices. Word is that there may be shortages of LPG due to the unusually cold weather.

I have purchased accessories from Camping World but have never paid for installation although I know others that have. The $39 installation is of zero value to me.

So the discounts are NOT for member benefit, but only to generate more traffic to your facility.

Well, I am sure glad they suckered me into a lifetime membership before they started slowly paring off the benefits, otherwise I might have kept my money in MY pocket.

That's a shame the nearest Flying J is well over 100 miles away & rarely go that way, I go by a CW every day......... I did not see it anywhere either, another benefit lost...........
