Let me jump into this topic. Just got my insurance cancelled today, letter sent out on the 6/14. I called and got some girl and when I asked why my insurance got cancelled I was given the standard statement that a review had been done and we didn't meet policy parameters. I asked three times and was given the same statement so I asked to speak to a supervisor. When the supervisor came or I asked her to explain and she started with the same spiel and I told her it wasn't good enough and if I didn't meet policy why did they just renew me in the last month.
Well it seems that I am making them loose money. I had 4 calls in the last year that cost them over $700. The last one was on the 6th of this month when my new 5er blew a tire just 2 miles from home.
Since I have the Platinum roadside (which they don't carry anymore) I didn't believe there was a problem. This was sold to me several years ago for my entire family that I paid extra dollars for since it would cover every car, truck, and trailer I have for my family. I found out later that there was and age limit for my daughters (I have one that lives and home and is disabled and I support but is to old to be covered).
At present I am without insurance until I find someone that will cover my family. I am a life member of GS and think this is BS. If I had been on a trip I probably be a lot more Peeved. The last company I had didn't give me this grief when I lost 4 tires on a trip in less than 6 months.
