In the end GS,AAA and Coach Net all have service limitations.
Otherwise they would be out of business
If they DO have limitations, those should be clearly spelled out in ALL of their marketing materials and contracts.
If that is not specified, they could be guilty of fraud......especially if they paint a flowery picture that tries to make you believe exactly the opposite.
And they won't go out of business if a single customer has too many calls......or 10 customers......or a hundred......as long as for each one of them, they also have a thousand or so customers who NEVER have a claim.
What they are doing may not be illegal but it certainly is unethical.
Doesn't matter how many non claiming customers they have . They cannot afford to charge 120.00 bucks or so and allow one to have 4 free tows.
That equals $30 dollars a tow, market value is at least $75.00 a tow if not more.
Secondly I trust it is all spelled out in the contract.
Unfortunately most including myself never take the time to read it.
For the record I have paid about $1000 for roadside assistance over the years and have yet to make a claim (knock on wood) I have fixed a few flats myself.
The day my truck dies and the whole mess needs to be towed on some sort of flat bed. Or by two tow trucks or whatever, I will be glad to have roadside assistance. One major tow can eat up all my premiums in a no time.
I have roadside assistance for peace of mind in case my entire rig needs to be towed while I'm in the middle of nowhere.
Flats and other routine stuff I will take care of myself as long as I'm able and capable
