We have a 2014 Keystone Fuzion Toy Hauler fifth wheel that we bought new in Lakewood CO before we retired and moved to Florida. We have had National General Insurance through Good Sam since it was bought and they, in addition to our RV, also covered our home, truck and scooters. We never filed a claim until after a March 2016 hail storm broke the outer skylight over the bathroom and caused significant hidden damage to the roof decking while the unit was in storage near our home in Florida. Once we had the RV inspected we were told that we needed a new roof which would cost over $11,000.
When we reported the damage and filed a claim with National General Insurance they denied our claim without even looking at the unit. I am now in the process of suing National General Insurance and have dropped all of their insurance coverage (except for RV).
I strongly recommend that everyone AVOID National General Insurance through Good Sam even if you have to pay more for your coverage elsewhere. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
