my son broke down 2 hrs away he called and was told not covered because he was 25 years old and I was not with him I called was told same thing and when I made remark about this rule was rudely told I should have read fine print soon as everything expires I am done and when I do have to use camping world they remind me my roadside travel assist and membership I s expiring do I want to renew I don't think so left him stranded

It would be insightful, to hear from someone in the towing business. And how they prioritize calls. Full price first, I would guess, GSRA, Coach net somewhere down the list, I would think. It would also be interesting to know if one pays the towing company better than the other. And hence they may respond quicker to the better paying service

Easy enough to google "road service" and call around to get someone to promptly tow or fix my vehicle. I've had GS & CN in the past, called for technical help.but nothing else. Always happy with the help.

Waited two hours this morning for Toyota to have my car towed to the dealer under warranty.
Simple car in a large populated area. Just a point of reference on the time.

I HAD Good Sam. First impressions are everything.

Like in your case, they seemed to not have a sense of urgency to find a tow place when I was broke down by a traffic light. After two hours, the police who was waiting with me called for a tow and it was there within minutes.

I had to go through the process of sending Good Sam the bill and them reimbursing. I have now been with Coach Net six years and they have been AWESOME.

I have never had nor used any roadside assistance program. So I have no knowledge as to if one is better than the other.

But I do know GSRA, contracts with Allstate for their vendor list. I wonder if other outfits like coach net pay the vendors more?

What I wonder is it GSRA? or the vendors they contract with that is the problem.
I would imagine, Allstate beats them up horribly on their fees. I wonder if the vendors push GSRA calls to the bottom of the list, and take care of the higher paying customers first. I can see it to extent from the vendors point of view, they may not be paid much, the customer is a one and done they will never get repeat business from them, and never a referral.

So as long as they do enough to keep GSRA sort of happy, they don't care about the customer much. It would be interesting to know how much they get beat up on their fees, and if that would explain to some extent why service can be slow.
Kind of a they get to it when they get to it thing.

Interesting that you failed to say in the previous post that it was only a personal experience, a fact that was omitted, or you felt wasn't necessary. Another one of those posts where pertinent information was cleverly omitted.
Also in a previous post you stated that the one time you had service it was good. Cant have it both ways.
Its not my not understanding, rather the lack of complete information on your part, with the intent of misleading everyone.

It is a simple fact that one person's experience in one specific location can NOT be ASSumed to be typical of the situation EVERYPLACE without any evidence to support that.

And I have no grudge against GS or CW. They have done some good things for me. The problem IS that their failure rate is about 80 percent.
