NOT impressed with only the quote stage...
Called around looking for insurance. First with Geico. My personal policy. They quoted $500 with $10,000 personal property which is what I wanted and $500 deduct. They don't do it but are a THRID party for others. From there, many other companies were in the same price range.
Stupidly, I forgot I was a good SAMs member and went online. VERY LET DOWN. Twice the price as all others, for LESS COVERAGE... $1078. That tells me they are using their name to jack up rates hoping no one will shop around, vs, giving better rates because they re so large.
But doesn't stop there. I declined and moved on and prepaid a year and that was that. This am at 8:00, I get call from a VERY PUSHY salesman telling me I shouldn't have used the website, I should have called so they could "shop around".
Even after telling him REPEATDLY that it was a done deal, paid for a year, he started telling me how I probably got a bad deal, the company will not protect me (didn't even know who I used) and wanted to quote me anyway. After 3 straight mins of telling him it was too late, it's over, he STILL went on and on about give me 5 mins and ill work you up a quote.
This was horrible. He lacked any notice of professionalism, was obviously on commission and pushed to the point that I actually just hung up on him in mid sentence. I think after reading about Good Sam, I am just not interested in this company. I went with Coach Net for my roadside and I just don't see where they are making any effort to change things about how they do business.
One mans opinion...they are looking for the almighty dollar ONLY.
