Posts like this are more evidence to me that I won't waste my money on GSRA. I have been an AAA member for a long time now and they will tow me anywhere I want it to go so long as it's within the mileage limitation.
While I understand the contract says what it does, there are always exceptions that can be made in the interest of customer service and retaining good customers.
I'm proud to work for an excellent insurance company that deals in speciality insurance. we always go above and beyond for our customers and stretch things where we can to help our customers.
our policies include towing and its mileage limitation. so long as where your disabled is within that limit, we'll pay for the tow to wherever the customer wants. no questions asked.
then again, our retention rate is extremely high and there's reason for that as our policies are not the cheapest ones out there.
GSRAs reply in this post is typical of modern day cooperate America because they fail to look at the big picture and the importance of word of mouth and reputation.
having to get your vehicle towed is something none of us want to have done. we pay for RSA hoping we never have to use it. but if we do, we hope the company will step up and take care of us and not take actions that make a bad situation worse.
just my .02 YMMV and that's ok. i am old school in a lot of ways.
