Enblethen, I understand your frustration with the cost, I think it is high too, and if I had other coverage I wouldn't continue. But we were overcharged by a mobile mechanic the first time we used it...GS ERS made good on the overcharge. Then almost 3 years ago we had a spate of bad luck while towing a trailer with the RV. We needed two tows in less than a week. GS ERS had problems finding service providers and we had to pay $100 on the first tow and pay all of the 2nd one up front. After submitting the receipts, GS reimbursed us over $1800, which included the $75 to have our drive shaft reinstalled twice. A couple of months later our 48 MG lost the generator driving home about midnight, and we were towed 75 miles home. That one was easy. Fast response and no out of pocket expenses.
We haven't used it in 2 years and I hope to never need to use it again, but I figure we are money ahead and will keep paying for it just in case.
