If you can offer the service only when you leave a credit card on file, it costs you no more to renew on a credit card each year when offered. It's not a matter of retention as I have been with the service for over ten years.
I agree, I do not want my credit card on file with any business for "auto" renewal.
Email the renewal notice, keep your rates down. Why do you continue to raise rates for loyal customers?
Especially for those who have been customers for a long time and have not used this service. This service is for peace of mind "in case of emergency", but many customers, including me, have only used it one time in years.
