Renewal

Well did they put the screws to me the raised my collision from $137 to $305 and a dollar here and there for a total of $187 increase seems like bait and switch no claims either. Most likely will not renew

  • I just received a renewal that includes my RV plus two other vehicles. I was shocked to find a 30% increase!! Over a year ago my wife was caught in a hail storm that did damage her car. 8 months ago while on a trip we hit a deer with the rv. Neither of these incidences were avoidable.

When we purchased our new coach I was told by the insurance rep these were covered under comprehensive and would not cause our rated to increase.

I've been with Good Sam insurance for over 10 years without a claim until these recently. I guess it's time to shop elsewhere.
  • have been with State Farm after accident in NOLA in 1972. Have checked with other companies even GS's parner, none can meet what I am paying and rates have been stable on everything except RV but then when you go from 27' jayco to a 42
' Redwood then the price will more than triple. Will let myself check at next renuwal in a few months.

X2, I have been paying for insurance for 37 years and it has never went down

So you would be ok for your rates to go up $187 in one year for no reason?

They did go up $187 for a reason. Just not a reason you, I and the OP agree with or understand.

Only when you switch companies and start the process all over again,
  • I help seniors out with their financials etc.

Every one of my clients that have been enticed 'by advertisements' into switching their insurance to a lower rate has had it go up even higher than what they were paying originally.

Each and every time I find buried in the policy a line that states:
"rate good for one year". They draw you in and then hit you up after one year. This is becoming THE way all these companies are doing business.

People need to read the entire policy word for word which most do not.

  • Funny how you get 'increases', post about and suddenly someone wants to reach out and assist.

Request quotes from numerous ins. companies, same coverages/deductibles etc.

Then you can compare apples to apples on premiums.

Then do a search on 'customer service/claims/increases'

    Foremost
    Bluesky
    National Interstate
    Progressive
    Geico
    Farmers
    State Farm
    Etc. etc.

Find a 'broker' that handles numerous companies.......
