In 2013 we purchased a 2005 MH with 62K miles on it. Because it was 8 years old we purchased an extended warranty that is good until 7/2018 or 122k miles. Last year during our yearly trip we replaced the Transmission Control Module (TCM) ($4700), our cost $250.00. In July we had to have the refrigerator and coach water pump replaced ($5300), our cost $250.00. October this year we had to replace the front A/C ($1391.00), our cost $250.00.
In each repair instance we did not go to a dealer or CW. The TCM was replaced at Allison in Tucson AZ, total down time was 2.5 days. The refrigerator and water pump was replaced at Coastal RV Repair Topsham ME, total down time 5 days. The front A/C was replaced at Dillons RV Mesa AZ, total down time 7 days.
What I'm attempting to stress is that I had 3 major repairs done and my total down time was very acceptable. The repairs were all completed on time with no follow up required by me. You do not have to go to the selling organization, you simply follow the instructions and use the repair facility of your choice.
