I read all the complaints about GSRA providing proof of payment and cards. How long does it take for Coach-Net to provide notification of coverage and provide cards? I have never purchased RA except through my Ins. Co. I had it with Progressive and also Geico. Took less than 5 min. to have receipt of payment and Ins. Cards in my possession. Used the progressive 1 time and was very happy with the service. Also liked the cost of $39 per year. (4 yrs. ago)
You do know that for everytime you use the progressive roadsidfe service that they treat it as an insurance claim, right?
They may have counted it as a claim, I don't know and I don't care. I stayed with them for 3 yrs. after using the RA and then I found a better rate at GEICO, so I moved and have been with them for 3 yrs. I don't worry about small claims.
Some insurance companies report roadside assistance calls made under their insurance poilicies to a company called Choicepoint. Geico says they report the claims to them, but don't use it in determining their policy decisions. At least that is what they say. But when numerous "small claims" start getting made, they consider you a higher risk that you will have and file a larger claim. Just food for thought.
On a seperate note, nearly 20 years ago, Allstate was going to drop me and my ex wife with our auto coverage. No claims or anything. It was because we only had one policy with them. Called our agent and he confirmed it. Took at an inexpensive life insurance policy and that took care of it. Insurance companies do the craziest things.
