I also got my urgent notice in the mail today informing me that my ERS membership expires this month. This is 23 days after sending my payment on April 19th. The check was deposited by GS ERS 4 days later.
What is wrong here? Is their accounting that poorly managed that they cannot reconcile their accounts payable in a timely manner? I would hope not.
Perhaps it's something else. The letter was signed by Marcus Lemonis the Chief Executive Officer. Ah, that's the problem! The CEO has to micro mange his company. Just imagine how many thousands of accounts this man must look after and send out renewal notices. Why doesn't Joe Smoe, the manager of accounts, sign the letter?? It would be more authentic if that's what their trying to project.
All joking aside, this practice of sending these "urgent" notices is a very poor business practice, regardless of the benefit the company may gain from it.
It's a waste of my time as I had to spend the time checking my records to see if I had mailed the check. Why should a customer have to be put through this BS? You should be sending me a thank you notice for my payment and thanking me for continuing to subscribe to your service. But no, you send me trash!
What if I didn't see through the smoke and mirrors? I would certainly come to the conclusion, that if GS ERS can't manage their accounts, they certainly couldn't provide reliable road service.
The final word is this. I am done with doing business with GS ERS.
So Marcus since you are running the company, would it be too much to ask of you to cancel my service when it expires on May 28, 2014 and promptly refund my money that I paid for next years service. BTW the check number was #1313(no joke).
