Roadside Assistance Urgent Statement

Dear Marcus,

We are really upset with Good Sam.. We received our mail today and in it was a "Urgent" notice about our renewal of the "Roadside Assistance Platinum Program" stating that our renewal of $139.95 is due by 3-7-14. We do not and have never had this program!! This is a very misleading letter and and a very deceptive ploy to see how many will respond by sending you money!! You should be ashamed to send out invoices like this. I almost sent the money in thinking that maybe my husband changed companies. So glad I showed this statement to him and he was astonished that a reputable company such as Good Sam would deceive people in this manner.

  • This is the very reason we refuse to sign up with GS ever again. Come on, GS, WISE UP!!!!
  • yeah, I get renewal notices for my GS membership...... and it's paid up 2020!! Go figure.

    you will be getting more of them, I get one of those every 3-4 months along with other ad's from them- if there is way to stop it let me know, its such a waste of paper.

    Enough is enough and they wonder why people get upset.......That renewal scam is a good reason.



    When ARE they going to stop those mailings of sending obvious and intentional fraudulent renewal notices? They are not just oops in their mailing system this practice has been going on for decades. :(
  • It has gotten to the point that if it has the Good Sam logo on the envelope, I won't even open it, straight to the garbage it goes. Enough is enough and they wonder why people get upset.......That renewal scam is a good reason.

    My prediction: Someone from Marcus's "Rapid Response Team" will chime in asking for a PM with personal contact information.

    Look at the big picture. This stuff happens all the time with Good Sam- Sending invoices for services not yet subscribed to, poor service shopping at retail stores, deceptive sales practices, repair services that damage people's RV's, repairs taking many months to complete, and even service personnel avoiding customers.

    When there is a problem it takes the CEO (Marcus) to solve them. No one else in the organization apparently is empowered to solve ongoing, seemingly routine, problems.

    Having said all of that, it is apparently business as usual for Good Sam to abuse its customers.
