Roadside Assistance

I purchased a used 2015 class a Winnebago earlier this year. I looked into numerous warranties before choosing one.

I was shocked to see that the Good Sam extended service plan was so outrageously priced. They quoted me the unbelievable price of $18,000 for a five year plan. If you paid yearly it would be $3700 a year.

To make a long story short, after researching many companies I opted for the United States Warranty Co. out of Ohio. I chose their Eagle Guardian plan, the most comprensive one they carry. An 8 year plan cost me less than one year of a Good Sam plan.

Unfortunately, I have already needed to use the plan, I am thankful to say they covered the costs as outlined in my contract. They paid the repairman directly, no problems.

I would highly recommend this company.

This reminds me of the GS membership drives that are always sending out renewal notices even though my memberships will be good for many months. It's just dirty marketing but normal business for Markus.
The one I received last week did it for me. After this flagrant attempt to get me to renew way before I need to I looked at the pathetic magazine quality and realized it just isn't worth it anymore.
    So I'm done with GS.

I get those kinds of notices from many things I subscribe to, if it is not time to renew - recycle time - but what if I actually forgot it was time to renew - good timing - . This is trivial.

Thanks, good to know it's trivial.

I bought the Good Sam Roadside assistance last year for the first time. I thought it was reasonably priced. I never authorize automatic renewals on any subscription and it's a good thing I didn't. Apparently, they are not loyal to loyal customers. Renewals cost about twice what new sign-ups pay. When I called to see what I could do to get a better price, I was surprised to learn that that my credit card had already been charged the high renewal price A MONTH BEFORE MY OLD MEMBERSHIP EXPIRED. The first person I spoke to offered to give me a credit of $26, but I was so frightened by these shady business practices that I insisted on a full refund. Very disappointing...
