Good Sam only dispatches service providers that they have a prior written agreement with. That usually means the service provider was willing to accept Good Sams lower than typical rates for specific services. That also frequently means that Good Sam calls for service are low priority when other full pay customers are in need, especially on a Sun when they're understaffed. It also means that, depending on the area, the only Good Sam contracted provider may be 50 miles down the road, while there are 3 local providers within 10 miles sitting there waiting on your call. Its not unusual that you can get someone out of the phone book to respond much quicker than Good Sam. You were going to pay for the new tire in any case, so not much lost making the calls yourself.
No call back in 6 hrs of sitting along the highway..... unforgivable!
