Once you see the costs involved in towing a 40 ft DP, you'll gladly pay the $100/yr and hope you never need it.
If you want to increase your chances of getting someone who knows how to tow a 40 ft motorhome when you're stuck out in the middle of no where, your choices are Good Sam or Coach-Net, or both.
Also, be sure to read the fine print in their policy terms, there are always limitations & conditions to what they provide.

I have GoodSam and put it to the test this weekend. 5PM Saturday we threw a belt on I15 near Lehi Utah. Pulled into a gas station and called GoodSam and a mechanic arrived in 30 minutes. He found out we had a siezed idler pulley so he had to get the new part and instal it. Finally we are good to go except engine wont start. Call Goodsam again get a tow to an RvPark since nothng open on Sunday. Monday AM another call gets us towed to a local garage which fixed the problem in 5 minutes. Iwish they could provide assistance with 5th wheel issues as well as with tow vehicle but I am very happy with the service I got.

I have had very good service from Good Sam Roadside Assistance.

Approx $100/yr for ERS that specializes in RVs seems cheap insurance to me. I went with Coach-net after reading many many posts on this and another forum.

I add towing to my RV insurance and just go with it. This isn't
as much coverage as road side usually is, but can get the job done.
