My question was in two parts the second part was never answered on 12-31 or any other day. And my ORIGINAL question was only partly about the 4 free issues. I have repeatedly asked the question on this forum to no avail.

The second part of my question was not answered on this forum at all.

That question was why I could not find the Jan issue of trailer Life in ANY retail outlet. Barnes and Noble told me after an e mail to their head magazine person in NY that TL was not publishing a Jan Issue. That prompted the question here.

I finally got my question answered by calling the local (NOT 800) number of the Good Sam Enterprises offices in Oxnard CA. Where my question was finally answered.

I posted those telephone numbers on this forum yesterday but they have been removed. Those numbers are easily and OPENLY AVAILABLE by doing a reverse lookup on WhitePages.com (free)using the address of the main offices.

The Answer I was given: "somebody made mistake and didnt order the retail copies" The nice lady I dealt with has mailed me a free Jan issue....we hope. She said the problem should be fixed by the time the Feb issue hits the newsstand.

Correction to my previous statement:
After calling the GSE Main Offices in Oxnard to find out what was happening to the January issues of Trailer Life I got a message that this question had been answered on this forum.

I did not receive an answer on this forum addressed solely to me. The answer was part of several answers in one message to 3 different posters. Therefore I missed it. However it was ONLY after calling the Main Office that I was offered a January issue gratis sent to me for my trouble.

THAT is what I consider a response. However I apologize to the customer care team for missing the answer buried in a message to two other posters. I would suggest that when answering these complaints they take the time to post to each poster individually so it can be found more easily and the issue laid to rest with less misunderstanding.

Just a thought there Good Sam Club Service person....

Send out LESS JUNK MAIL both electronic and otherwise and fewer of these problems will come up. People are just reflexively throwing out anything with the good sam logo because it's all too much.

And by the way I still have not received an answer about why Trailer Life cannot be found in any of the Bookstores...No January Issue. Barnes and Noble after some emails sent on my behalf said they were not printing a January issue.

Can someone please confirm what is going on with Trailer Life?

The Club does not send fake renewal notices. Here's an example of how someone could receive a renewal notice yet didn’t think they were a Club member—possibly the person was given a free trial membership and somehow missed the letter that would have been sent to notify them of the membership and provide them the membership cards. When the free trial membership is up, a renewal notice would be sent to renew that membership. But, if the person missed the letter that told them about the trial membership, then I can see why receiving a renewal notice would cause confusion. This is a possible scenario as an example.

Should anyone who does not feel they are a Club member receive a renewal notice, please keep the mailing on hand and contact Member Services at 1-800-234-3450. Member Services can look up the membership # on the renewal notice to tell you why you received

Just sent you a PM, still not right.
Log on to GS site, exp date 2016, selecting shopping takes me to CW site. They ask me to sign in and show an exp date of 2015. Bet the cashier at CW would tell me 2015.

Both sites show my correct member number.

Biggest complaint is those fake renewal notices. It would be really hard to believe that they have such an antiquated computer system that can't keep membership renewals straight.

Soooo, I'd just like to know WHY GS won't stop the practice of fake renewal notices?:?
......my guess is they make a ton of money on it from unsuspecting Rv'ers making double payments believing GS is telling them the truth.

We have a Lifetime membership. Bought our coach in 2013 and got a 3 year Elite membership that goes back to my Lifetime when it's done. I always get asked about renewing my membership. When they finally realize that I don't need to update it, they move on to trying to get me to renew my GSRA. Well I have it until 2020 (was given it with purchase of coach). So then I have to explain to them that I have it for another 5 or 6 years. I don't think the clerks can really tell much on the computer end and/or they are urged to sell them. maybe there is commision for it or they get points or something. Nothing more than going to Best Buy, Walmart or any other place and being asked about buying a warranty. Had a salesman at HHGregg drop the price of a tv and mattress set we were buying to cover the cost of a 5 year warranty on the tv. We refused the warranty when first asked about it. But he wanted the sale of the warranty, so he made up for it by lowering the cost of hte other stuff. Must be decent commissions in it.
