Update: The flushing of the fuel filters worked, we made it to Topeka safely. Obviously we need to get them replaced and will work on that tomorrow. Check engine light still on, guessing it needs to be reset or the filters are still partially clogged, so not getting enough fuel still. Just happy to not have to be towed.
On the upside: Almost immediately after my first posting, I receive a call from Frank w/ roadside assistance. He explained to me that what I was originally told, that I could only have one service per call/incident (mobile mechanic or be towed) was incorrect. He spoke with the manager of the call center and made sure that if I called back to be towed, that I was indeed towed as part of my roadside assistance AND not to the place 15 miles away that doesn't do RVs (although the mechanic did his best), but to the place 50 miles away that works on RVs and Cummins engines. He continued to follow up with me throughout the ordeal. So, maybe the call center made a mistake, but Frank really stepped up to the plate to make things right. Kudos to you Frank for doing the right thing.......now you just have to train those call center people! All's well that ends well. Glad I posted my frustration, but equally glad that my frustration was recognized and dealt with in a very timely matter.
Now if I could just figure where the bad fuel came from..........I'd be really happy!! :B
