Such Good Response on my Roadside Assistance post ...

let's try GMAC Insurance...

Have had them a couple of years because the rates and coverage were in line...
trading my current 5er in on a new one and wanted to transfer the coverage to the new one when we pick it up...

GMAC (or whoever they are now) seem to have difficulty with this concept :)

They put both of them on the policy at the same time and tripled my cost,
called them back and explained again what I was trying to do and they then took my existing one off the policy...

so had to call back again and this time I told them to put it back just like it was and I'll look elsewhere... of course, the CS specialist could care less that they are running a customer off....

why is it so difficult for 'customer service' people to follow the simplest instructions?

So if I decide to keep them it will take ANOTHER round of phone calls...

    I need to talk to someone by tomorrow as I've moved on.

    How do you put something 'in storage' - is there a web page ?
  • Customer service (or the lack thereof) is why I cancelled my policy with them. I called and got the run around, hang ups (accidently I am sure).
    Price was great for 2 cars and my Motorhome but I changed anyway. Went to a higher price policy for the same coverage but the bumbling customer service is now gone.

    I am glad I changed as if this is their norm then imagine what happens if you make a claim.

    If I were you I would change. If they cannot get simple right then imagine if it gets complex.

    If you save money but lose your time what is it worth.
