Good Sam Care Team - rvnetterExplorerDo you know how many Coast to Coast Resorts are listed in the directory as compared to last year, not including Good Neighbor Parks?
- Bruce_HosterExplorerrvnetter: Regarding your last post, it is tougher for Coast to add new resorts than new Good Neighbor Parks because there are fewer private membership resorts than there are open to the public parks and campgrounds (prospective Good Neighbor Parks). The two ways we can add new resorts are by resort developers building and opening new resorts, or by existing developers purchasing an existing park (sometimes an open to the public park) and turning this into a membership resort. We have been able to add new resorts most years, but in 2018 we did not add any new resorts to the network for 2019. However several developers have projects in the works at the moment, both new developments as well as purchases of existing parks to convert to membership resorts, that give me confidence that we will be able to add new resorts to the network this year. Hope this explanation answers your question.

Thank you for your response. I was inquiring as to how many Coast to Coast parks were added for 2019, not Good Neighbor Parks.
The answer to your question is ZERO. In fact, many have switched from Coast to Coast to Good Neighbor. I have a number of trip points to use, and when they're gone, so am I.
I was sold a Coast to Coast membership with the idea of $10 per night camping and easy on-line reservations. Now, to reserve a Good Neighbor park, you must call, and give them your Coast membership number to get your "special discount", that is, of course,if they answer the phone. Not a happy camper. - rvnetterExplorerThank you for your response. I was inquiring as to how many Coast to Coast parks were added for 2019, not Good Neighbor Parks.
- Bruce_HosterExplorerCoast added 78 new Good Neighbor Parks for 2019, you can see the complete list in our 2019 Coast Resort Directory. In terms of quality, Coast is the only membership camping network that inspects and rates our network parks and resorts annually. Our ratings are provided by the same rating teams that compile ratings for over 12,000 campgrounds annually for the Good Sam RV Travel & Savings Guide, and our ratings are based on the same Good Sam 10/10/10 rating system. The 2019 ratings are included in our 2019 Coast Resort Directory and also in our online directory at CoastResorts.com. In addition to the ratings, we take member feedback on conditions at our network resorts seriously and investigate all feedback we receive. Over the years we have removed a number of parks from our network due to poor conditions as we want to be sure we are sending our members to parks and resorts where they will have a good experience.

It is true that Sun RV Resorts left the Coast Good Neighbor Park system at the end of 2018. We announced this in our December Coast Insider eNewsletter and in the 2019 Coast Resort Directory that was published this month. We also announced in the directory that we added 78 new Good Neighbor Parks for 2019 to help replace the 68 Sun RV Resorts that left our system. All our 78 new Good Neighbor Parks are profiled in the 2019 Coast Resort Directory on pages 13-17. Coast also plans to add many more Good Neighbor Parks in 2019, watch our member website CoastResorts.com for updates. If you want to visit a Sun RV Resort and you are a Good Sam Club member, you can still receive a discount on your stay with your Good Sam membership. I hope that helps.
Adding Good Neighbor parks really isn't the same as adding C2C parks. Most of the Good Neighbor parks will also be available for reduced costs under Passport America. Why should we continue with C2C? We would have been happy to pay $15/night or even $20/night to have secure sites that we could reserve ahead of time. We no longer have that, so why should we stay members? - Good_Sam_Care_TExplorerHello rvnetter,
