SWIPE&save has issues.
I hope others are having a better experience that I have had trying to use the Pilot / Flying J SWIPE & save discount card. Yesterday was like Deja Vu. I stopped at a Flying J truck stop (#481) just north of Chattanooga on I-75 and had a repeat of a visit from a few months back.
I attempted to use my Swipe & save RV discount card. After three tries I went inside. Waited in line. When I finally got to the attendant and explained my concern he told me that the RV discount was not honored at the pump. He told me that this was a Knoxville program and all the Knoxville stored participated but not the other stores. But he would give me a refund in cash if I liked. I had not pumped my gas yet. I had to prepay. That's hard to do when your trying to fill up. This is the exact same thing that I was told at the exact same location months ago. After the first bad visit I was told that this would be corrected and it was. I had many successful visits at this location. It feel like the old bait and switch scam. The less that a dollar discount is not worth the hassle so most just move on.
So Flying J / Pilot. Don't tell me to call the number on my card and report this each time it happens. Don't ask for my personal information. Just fix your problems.
