Syracuse Rally Messed Up

I just Googled him - he is 71 years old. His past history is quite remarkable but I think the time has come to call it quits in the singing department. Maybe he was just having a (very) bad night but I certainly would never go to see him again and would have been very upset if I had paid big $$$s for that show.

Reba & The Vogues made up for his short-comings.

We had a great time in the brown lot, and am sure we would have had an equally great time in the mall lot. I should probably say that people whinning about he mall lot, would have whined just as much in the brown lot... just sayin'

As for Wayne Newton. My firt show with him. Great jokes but how OLD IS HE????
I don't mean to complain but he really needs to take a time out and retire. His voice is NOT up to the task, no matter how deaf some RVer may be.

We just got home from attending the Syracuse Rally. It was quite an experience. We were fortunate to get a good camping spot in the brown lot which was very convenient for walking to the entrance gates.

I know many had frustrations and annoyances. Four couples we know were at the Mall and actually preferred it. They had good WIFI available, a choice of restaurants if they wanted to eat out and did not have any complaints about the shuttles once they got running. Also they were relieved to be parked on asphalt with no worry about getting stuck and no mud to contend with.

I think the organizers and volunteers did a great job. Thanks to G.S. and C.W. for putting on this rally in the N.E.

Rarely do people take the time to be thankful but when there is the smallest (or large) problem, people are quick to react and make a big stink.
We had a great fime and are thrilled that Good Sam held a rally in NY. We are not yet retired and cannot take time to drive to Georgia or south for rallies so THANK YOU Good Sam for a great Rally and don't let the rain keep you away from this neck of the wood. Hope to attend another Good Sam Rally again soon.

We arrived at the lot in torrential rains, the volunteers directed us to the brown lot very quickly and instructed us to follow the guide ahead of us to park and "don't stop!!" So not to get stucked in the mud. The wired were mostly under water but we were all able to hook up and all was good. Our blocks were under water. The site dried up on Saturday. I'm sure they couldn't just let RV's sit around. They had to move them and get them parked as quickly as possible. All in all, I look forward to attending more rallies. As any of us that have had to organize events at one time or another, we all know that we can't please everyone and that there is always something unexpected that happens. Congratulations and many thanks to all that made this event possible.

Marcus, everyone... especially us RV'ers, know you just can't out-guess the weather. Surely no one can blame Good Sam for this situation... I can understand being disappointed, but upset with Good Sam, no way.

This is a great post "Kensue", nice to hear how helpful all the volunteers and organizers of the Rally were. I know from all of the years of camping / RVing, weather can create the un-expected... I know I have been up to my "lug nuts" many times over the years while camping...

I must say that we are doing the best we can. The weather was unexpected and the team is doing all they can to make it work.

Car parking is across from entrances 2 and 3. There are signs there to direct attendees to car parking.
