Be glad they are parking at the mall. I was at a non-Good Sam festival several years ago. Everyone had to be hauled out by tractors on Sunday.

The first Redmond Or. rally was the same with a wet and muddy parking area in the fair grounds, and everyone I talked to that went was disappointed as you are now. the next ones they were prepared for the unforeseen and there was gravel hauled into that area and worked out great. Mother nature has spoken for now. Just be patient with the Rally planers and enjoy to the best of your ability. Use the busses.

I think the volunteers that are out there are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Nobody could for see the amount of rain that came down. And to try and move the hundreds, if not thousands of rigs would be horrendous. You have been served weather lemons, make lemonade. Jmo Macktee

The problem here was that no one gave an explanation...they handed a sheet of paper to each driver...said follow the camper in front you..it was hours before any explanations were given...all of this frustration could have been avoided with a simple "we're sorry for all this confusion...we are sending you to the mall parking lot, but are working on a solution..we will let you know as soon as we have a fix in place"

People in charge definitly dropped the ball on this one...weather report was known yesterday. Worst part about this was that the volunteers were left to deal with all the frustrated rally-goers. When our friend called to inquire about a refund (they will not attend any part of the rally) the girl in the office was actually crying because she had to deal with so many frustrated people...who again...were not given any explanation at all.
