Thanks...something not said often enough...

I figured I would post this, since there seems to be a lot of hatred towards some of these services. It never fails to make me laugh when people call and expect immediate service, late at night, on a weekend.... You have to be patient...

My story (and you can't make this******up):

We had been on the road for almost two weeks, did a round robin from Monterey, CA to Las Vegas, NV, to Yosemite, to San Francisco, CA. Everything was great until the end, 2 July...

We pulled into the campground and was in the road, while my daughter and the pets sit in the truck...I always like to survey the spot prior to backing in. The wife drove by in her car, daughter jumps out, the dog got excited and locked the door....with the truck running. We call Good Sam and the truck is unlocked in about 45 minutes....

Now, in the spot, setting up, go to put the slide out (Accu-Slide) and it stops part way out. We mess with it for sometime and no joy, call Good Sam again, the dispatcher for the repair company calls and asks when if we needed them immediately or could we wait a while (5pm in San Francisco). We agreed on a time later in the evening, we went to have dinner, and they showed up and showed us how to get the slide in/out with a dis functional gearbox.

Thanks for the service. In 4 years, I have used Roadside Assistance 3 times, cannot complain!!

  • GS does a good job. When there is a problem it's mostly the "provider" they use that causes the problems. When that happens GS bends over backwards to resolve the problem quickly. That happend to me recently and I could not be happier with the results I got with GS.

    Jimmy-Johns is faster, I know, cuz I've seen their commercials....lol
  • Good to hear they do get it right. If they could just fix the silly membership card issues....
  • Sounds like a win-win situation. A little patience on your part and a good response on theirs.

    We have also had good service from GSERS.

    Yeah, I know. It just seems that there are more at a boys than screw ups... The at a boys are enjoying themselves, while the ones that did not have a good experience are sitting and stewing.
