rolln, thank you.
First off , 5hrs to get the serice is unaccepable. Period ! Particularly since the provider was so close.
I believe I stated that tread was well over 3/32, making the tire absolutely eligible for the extended tire warranty program. Not that the Camping World rep even bothered to look at the tires and told us they were good to go.
The charge for the service csll was 195. Not including the tire. I believe my tire was well worth more than 30 $ ! I believe your average price stated may be just that. But this tire dealer involved was obviously gouging somebody, quoting one price to safeguard and bringing me a different tire than quoted. Then having to run across town to fetch correct tire.... Who knows what went on with the tire guy and the safeguard person after I was on my way ? This is what I am hoping to find out here.
Mind you, I have been darn near accused of running bald junk tires here and don't really appreciate that implication. I have been dragged thru mud here and don't care for several posters here either that assumed so much negativity on my part. I was called an a--hole by I guess a god of this site ! And I did not react appropriately in my replies.
All this said, I'm waiting for the reply from the man in charge. I will then make my decision as whether to accept or appeal the explanation of said claim.
So far after what is said and done, I would caution anyone stepping into a Camping World franchise store with intentions of purchasing a camping unit, to keep your eyes and ears WIDE open, and think twice about buying extended warranties. Make sure to read everything BEFORE SIGNING ! Ask questions. And don't get service work done at CW Chattanooga, you will regret.
I was told that by end of day today, we should have some action.
Today a rep called and apologized for the time it was taking to get all the info for claim.
