- RollnhomeExplorerMaddczech,
I use to adjust tires. Most warranty and tire protection plans are pro rated ....that is based on wear at time of replacement. As an example... Let's say your new tire has 9/32 of tread. You say at time of replacement your tire had 3/32 of tread left. From that you need to subtract 2/32 as this is the point the wear bars are set and the tires are to be replaced and typically the manufactures road hazard warranty expires. That allows you 7/32 of warrantied tread wear and tire use.
With 3/32 tread left you would have had use of about 85% of the expected tire wear. So you should have been allowed a 15% adjustment off a new tire, plus what ever your roadside portion of your protection plan covers for a service call. If they paid you a 50% adjustment, for a new tire; plus covered your roadside assistance, per your policy I think you got a pretty good (better than fair) recovery for your damaged tire.
Possibly I am missing something or missing exactly why you are not satisfied. - maddczechExplorerI want to post pics of my tires here. Why is it so difficult a process here, I've never encountered such a process elsewhere. Is this done to inhibit posting pics perhaps.?
- maddczechExplorerThanks for the private vocabulary lesson.
Or wasn't that private? Oh yes it was private.
I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken..... - fla-gypsyExplorerPrivate: Secluded from the sight, presence, or intrusion of others
- maddczechExplorerThen it is that person perhaps that you should direct to contact me with the progress in the claim and an explanation of that progress.
Thank you. - Good_Sam_Care_TExplorer IImaddczech,
