As a veteran, US Army Security Agency 1969-72, I truly appreciate when businesses offer a veterans discount. I never expect one but gratefully accept that some firms extend this courtesy to those of us who stepped up and served.
Just bought a new i-Phone XR and found that Apple after years of offering substantial discounts to veterans has had to rethink their policy. It seems that many were falsely trying to cash in on the discounts to which they were not entitled. They still give a discount but it is now a complicated process designed to eliminate the fraudsters.
