OK, Ive an unbiased response after reading this story. The first thing that comes to my mind, is WHY would anyone, I mean ANYONE, travel by roadway in this kinda shape. I would have insisted to be flown or hospital transport of some sorts. Seems the OP has put themselves in jeopardy from the get go, seems very irresponsible.
