Ways to Save on Fuel at Pilot Flying J

Yep, Pilot/Flying J is backwards compared to many others.

If you use the Pilot/Flying J credit card for Gas and also swipe the Good Sam Loyalty card do you get .05 cents off total or .10 cents off each gallon?

I buy fuel cheaper elsewhere.

All Pilot/FJ's are not the same. They are supposed to be, but they are not. Some will discount off the credit price instead of cash price. Because of that, I swipe my loyalty card at the pump and then go inside to pay. I've never had a problem doing it that way.

I always go in anymore because you can't use Apple Pay at the pump in most of their stations, but can inside. I go in, tell them we are Good Sam Members, hand they the card, they scan it, then ask how much as it will be a prepay - - then use the phone to make the purchase. Go back in and get a receipt after we finished - - gives me a short walk to stretch my legs before next leg of the trip.

We just follow the pump instructions. Swipe our VISA CC, then our GoodSam card. Pump aplies the $.05 discount, then says remove handle and select grade. Works at every Flying J and Pilot station.
