What is the delay in getting membership????

Hi, I joined Good Sam 6 days ago and purchased the road assistance also. The sign up mentioned I would get an email with my member ID within 48 hours. I see that my credit card was charged the amount. I have sent 2 emails to the site with no response at all simply asking for my membership # to start getting some of the benefits as I just purchased my RV.

Earlier today, I made a phone call. On hold for who knows how long and finally a nice lady came on and after much discussion, gave me my membership number and roadside assistance number.

This does me no good. Trying to purchase all my towing equipment on Camping World and when I enter my membership number, it says invalid..... starting to be quite a joke. Any help out there? Anyone else having this problem? Starting to wonder how long I would need to wait if I need roadside assistance! Yes, not a happy camper.

    Yes, maybe a pop quiz is to follow or a driving test.....

    They should do a reorganization at Good Sams. Put the credit card guy at the membership issuance post and put the membership issuer at the credit card post.

    The credit card person seems quite efficient as the charge went through immediately!

    When no money comes in...from the incompetency, the bells will ring.

    I will wait until the end of the week and then call my credit card company to dispute the charge.

    Marcus, if you are out there, any advice?

    Welcome to Camping World! From what I have read on this forum for a long time, your experience is very typical.
  • We got our numbers by email the next day, but it took almost a month for the GS membership cards to show up and 2 months for the GSRA cards, eventually we ended up with 3 sets of GSRA cards over a period of 6 months. :S They are quick to get your money but slooooow on follow through. :R
