When to get extended service plan

Ditto what the others say. I had one once; it had a lot of exclusions. It said I had to pay a dealer to service the trailer, everything from the roof caulking to lubricating things. If I didn't do that they would deny any claim. Dealer wanted $300 to caulk my roof! I had a flat tire claim that was denied because I didn't call in for approval prior to buying new tire. I was stranded on a mountain with no cell reception and couldn't call first. I then cancelled the service/warranty contract, only to find that they apply the reimbursement to the end of the contract. Pay yourself and learn to repair and maintain the RV yourself. You are better off in the long run. Good luck

Establish an 'Emergency Fund'....then pay into it monthly just like a reoccurring bill.

7 yrs FT and our 'emergency fund' was used for other expenses when we came off the road.
Learn to fix/repair as much as possible=====DIY

Unless it is offered/supported by the RV MFG it is NOT a 'warranty plan'

It is a 'Service Plan' that has more exclusions then valid coverage
