His statement is PARTLY true.
If everything else is the same (suspension, components, etc), the longer coach will also have a longer Wheelbase to Overall Length ratio.
Longer WB/OL coaches DO handle better.
That does not mean that a shorter one/one with poorer WB/OL will handle badly.
Engineering to some degree can overcome WB/OL. Example, Foretravel 34' with 8 outboard air bag suspension and 8 shocks.
But, reality is that handling and ride are both subjective-- what one person may find acceptable may not be acceptable to another.
The only time it will really make a lot of differences is under adverse conditions-- heavy cross winds, lots of 18 wheeler traffic, bad roads.
