I think there is a very big difference in the wheelbase on a 32-34 DP vs a Gas coach of the same length. As someone mentioned, the DP is limited on how far they can move the rear wheels forward.
I saw a short DP (Not too often you see them) leaving a rest area a little while back and it was porpoising so bad, it was comical. The wife and I were laughing and I had commented that I would be pretty mad if I paid for a DP and it rode like that.
It sure as heck can happen and from the one I observed, it was substantial. Test drive any short DP on an interstate with the expansion joints.
