Hello folks its been a while since I've been on the forum and I'm in the process of buying my 7th rv. Each time I buy one I come to the forum to get some information on the ins and outs of the new rig...

There are four areas of concern with that year Tiffin products:
1. Hairline cracks in the rails -the curved fiberglass where the roof meets the sidewalls.
2. The floor under the water tanks (commonly called the wet bay floor) this was made of particle board and may have gotten wet and need replaced.
3. The floor of the large living room slide on the driver side may also need replacing.
4. The portions of the sidewalls that are painted black may have very small white hairline flecks in the fiberglass that gets worse the older the coach gets. This is strictly cosmetic and has no effect on strength or stability.
Our 2007 Phaeton has had problems with 1, 2, and 4. The first two were repaired at the Tiffin service center in Red Bay, AL on their dime and we will just live with #4.
